ABOUT

The author and philosopher Kahlil Gibran wrote in his famous book, The Prophet the following lines:

“Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.”

Grupo Kwadro was organized to rekindle friendship and also to further develop the artistic skills of its members.

“We often do on-the-spot painting and sketching sessions. We want to hone our skills as artists, as well as to strengthen our bond as friends,” says Roy Espinosa, a painter turned advertising person, turned publisher, and a member of the newly-organized art group.

Aside from Espinosa, the group boasts to include in the roster of its members Cee Cadid, Jun Martinez, Nemi Miranda, Remy Boquiren, Nik Masangcay, Roland Santos, Andy Urag, Liza Oppus, Raks Molata, Naning Molata, Liza Villaseñor, Bal Foranliza, Lupicinio Ng and Rence Tatad.

The art world is expecting that the coming days Grupo Kwadro would go out from their shell, and reach out to the community through their art. And of course, the viewers and the art enthusiasts are expecting more from Grupo Kwadro.
